Sony schließt Guerrilla Cambridge

Das Jahr ist noch nicht wirklich alt, da gibt es schon die erste schlechte und auch ein wenig unerwartete Nachricht, denn wie GamesIndustry berichtet, hat sich Sony auf Grund von „Umstrukturierungsmaßnahmen“ das Entwicklerstudio Guerilla Cambridge zu schließen. Das Mutterstudio in Amsterdam ist davon nicht betroffen und ein kleiner Trost ist auch, dass man zumindest verspricht einige Entwickler anderen Projekten zuzuweisen.

Guerrilla Cambridge veröffentlichte noch vor Kurzem RIGS für PlayStation VR und man verfolgte eigentlich auch Pläne, in Zukunft das Spiel mit Inhalten zu versorgen. Zuvor bescherte man uns Killzone Mercenary für die PS Vita und in grauer Vorzeit, damals noch als SCEE Cambridge Studio bekannt, entwickelte das Studios Titel wie MediEvel, LittleBigPlanet PSP, Primal, oder auch Frogger.
